Wienerschnitzel is an American based food company that was established in the early 1960s. The food company was founded by John Galardi while in a single location within Southern California. Having started with a single hot dog stand, the hot dog chain has over 350 restaurants in ten states across the United States. Approximately 10% of the units are privately owned by the company while the others are operated by franchisees (Wienerschnitzel, 2018). As such, the company has grown to become the world’s ever largest hot dog chain that serves approximately 120 million hot dogs annually (Wienerschnitzel, 2018). Besides, the family-owned brand is famous for its delicious secret-recipe chili used to smother its food products including fries, burgers and hot dogs. Considerably, the firm owns a Tastee-Freez chain that has more than 225 ice cream stands, most of which are integrated within Wienerschnitzel’s stores (Wienerschnitzel, 2018). Thus, the company has been in existence for over 50 years serving its broad consumer base and the community.
