Creating campaign communication messages is a creative outlet in which health communicators get to share their information and expertise on disease prevention and health promotion with the outside world. After you have selected a health communication campaign topic, identified your target audience, and outlined your intended outcome objectives, you are ready to build campaign education and promotion tools. If you choose to do so, you can use the topic from the Unit 5 Assignment for your communication campaign topic.
Step 1: Complete the Communication Playbook Worksheet template provided below.
Step 2: Create two (2) unique pieces of communication or messaging for your health communication campaign topic.
- Examples: a one-page flyer or public service announcement, newspaper article, infographic, social media page (Facebook, Twitter account with an introductory post), or other communication modality of your choosing.
- Build your communication on the information you outlined in the Worksheet. Tailor your communication medium to your target audience and ensure information is appropriate and relevant. This work should be original to this assignment and not a piece that has been created before.
