Cryptography is the creation of and generation of codes to ensure the safety of information. It converts data into unreadable formats that would deny access to unauthorized persons because it would be compromised. As discussed earlier, information technology employs cryptography for various purposes and levels. Even though this protection technique is considered safer for securing information, it has downfalls as I illustrated last week. This paper will examine the best practices that can be used to mitigate the problems associated with cryptography (Stallings 2017).
