Cultural Distrust of Healthcare
Culture has for a long time been observed to be a huge barrier that hinders the ability of various healthcare systems to realize the much-needed healthcare outcomes. Healthcare today is considered to be a global industry that serves millions of people across the world. Despite the fact that the human body has been observed to be similar across all cultures, cultural aspects of the people can lead to creation of mistrust of a given group of people in the healthcare system. As a result, the cultural background of an individual can inform so much about their approach and influences on the healthcare services they consume. The aim of this essay is to select a vulnerable population in the country that has mistrust in the healthcare system or medical treatments that are applied across the country. The paper will also assess how the United States healthcare system has served this population in history and presently.
