Healthcare as a Basic Right
Different social issues have often been the basis of debate in the American political space, with opponents and proponents of the issues presenting their views on the topic. Ultimately, while the country remains divided on issues such as healthcare and the right to life in addition to other more contentious issues such as gun control, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion on the various issues. In particular, the right to healthcare has been one of the primary issues of discussion following the transition from an Obama to Trump administration. Of interest to society has been the question on whether healthcare is a basic human right, to which the most appropriate answer would be that it is a human right only to a certain extent.
