There was still racial discrimination in the early 1950’s, and 1960’s in America as the whites dominated the television shows. TV shows and programs played a significant role in shaping the image of Black and bringing back black dignity. Blacks were not well recognized in Americans through the tasks that the blacks were given to play in the 1950’s.
