In Chapter 2 of our text, the authors discuss three general attitudes towards the environment: development, preservation, and conservation. Which approach most agrees with your personal views? Do you think one environmental approach should be mandated by law, or should individual choice be allowed? In the assigned chapter, the authors delve into some of the general attitudes towards the environment. They include development, conservation, and preservation. These approaches differ from one individual to the next. The approach that most agrees with my personal views is the conservationist approach. I relate with the approach since it is aimed at increasing and promotion the well-being of humans. The approach tends to strike a balance between preservation and unstrained development (Dasmann, 2014). Natural resources should be controlled so as to ensure that mankind gains from the environment without harming it.
