Discuss the historical evolution and laws of occupational safety and health in the US.
The current occupational safety and health standards that are used in the United States have come a long way to what they are today. In the past, when employees would get injured at their place of work, they could be replaced by the employers by other able individuals and there were no implications on the employers. The statutory regime at the time never cared about the health and safety of employees. Tort law was the only piece of law that helped employees who got injured at their place of work (Wokutch, 2012).
