For the discussion board this week, consistent with the textbook readings, we will examine these questions. You need answer only one question and respond to one of your classmates comments. However, be sure you read over the questions before doing the readings so you can apprise yourself of these two types of evidence: qualitative and quantitative.

1. What is qualitative research? Describe and give some examples.

2. What are the strengths and benefits of qualitative research? What kinds of clinical or healthcare questions are best addressed by using qualitative research approaches?

3. What are the limitations of qualitative research? What types of clinical or nursing studies are best answered using qualitative versus quantitative research methods? Explain your answer.

It’s a type of scientific research that consists investigations mainly on a naturalistic approach to the world, meaning that this type of researchers only researches on thing on their ordinary settings and attempt to interpret specific patterns of stuff from the perspective of the local population it involves (Christensen,2000).
