Introduction

Registered nurses are authorized to delegate selected care activities to an unlicensed care provider. These unlicensed care providers assist registered nurses in offering patient care as delegated and supervised by the registered nurse. Unlicensed care providers may assist in performing patient care-related duties which do not require nursing training and skills.
