Gender, race, age, disability, religion, education status, and national origin are examples of what diversity entails in nursing. Nurses have a role in providing the best care to a patient through communication despite their beliefs or practices. Nowadays, the demographics are changing, and it is always advisable to hire nurses from various backgrounds to ensure that the population is well covered. Lack of diversity nursing is one of the main causes some groups can receive poor medical care. Diversity helps in teamwork, creativity, and innovation, and this leads to patients receiving better good and being satisfied.
