Thank you for your post. Indeed the safety net service providers play a critical role in availing the healthcare services to people not covered by the different policies by the government intended to ensure universal access to healthcare. According to research, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act may have invested in increasing the amount of people under managed healthcare systems, but a significant number remains in need of healthcare services due to inefficiency of the healthcare system (Cunningham, Felland, & Stark, 2012).
