Adolescents and children from Hispanic backgrounds, face challenges that affect them. These challenges affect their growth which ranges from physical to cognitive growth. These challenges also affect them on different levels. Statistics show that almost half of the population of the Latino youth are living below the poverty line. This can be caused by factors such as lack of education, lack of employment opportunities and cultural discrimination in the United States. As a result, these children start abusing drugs or engage in criminal activities to pass time. Many of them end up in prisons and some of them even died.
