My Dr said in the file “Students are able to choose any two figures as long as they are from the same section. ” and I asked him what is it mean
he responded to me by saying “by two figures from the same section, I meant the sections used to organize our readings over the course of the semester; that is, the formative period and the power of scriptural narratives, the modern period and its challenges, and ritual as ethico-spiritual formation. So the two figures you choose must both come from one of these sections, meaning that yes, they will be from two different religious traditions. So as I said in the call yesterday, that might be Heschel and MLK, Jr. because they’re in the same section (power of scriptural narratives) or it could be Plaskow and Malcolm X because they’re in the same section (ritual as ethico-spiritual formation), but you could not choose MLK, Jr. and Malcolm X because they belong to different sections.”
