HUMANISTIC THEORY
This theory can sometimes be viewed as a response to the classical theory which was seen by many as an advocate for the rule-bound, overly mechanistic and inflexible organization system. The humanistic theory was seen as a critic of the classical theory which was viewed to be unrealistic in the sense that it gave an unfair depiction of employees in an organization. The classical theory portrayed employees as cogs in a machine that had the task of performing manual labor for their employers.
