Workplace safety is an important aspect to all employees in the industry as every worker is interested to work in a safe and protected atmosphere. Notably, health and safety is a critical factor in the industry to promote wellness of both the employer and the employees (Grote, 2018). There are many factors that come into play within the working environment such as working power tools, heavy equipment, and other dangerous items hence the need for maintaining safe operations at the job site (Grote, 2018). When employees are performing their tasks within the job site, they face the risk of workplace injury, incidents that might be threatening to the employee’s well-being. Despite this, workplace accidents can be prevented by enacting safety procedures that must be adhered to by all employees (Mohun, 2016). This is in line with the health and safety principles that are paramount to the well-being of both the employer and the employees. With different hazards present at the workplace, it is the employer’s responsibility to keep the working environment safe and free from hazards.
