Harm Reduction – Is it a necessary focus for the future?

Specify your views for example, on Syringe Services Programs (SSPs) and the use and provision of NARCAN to save lives in case of overdose. Do you think these harm reduction strategies are “acts of compassion” or do they encourage and perpetuate drug use? Do you think that harm reduction strategies have positive impacts on other social/health issues such as stigma, family loss and strife, or the reduction in HIV rates/other infectious diseases that may spread through the use of dirty needles? Is harm reduction where we need to focus for the future?
