its 2 parts to this assignment will post part 1 after part1 is completed I will post part 2 afterward

Although our textbook dedicates one chapter to ethics, writing ethically is something technical communicators consider every time they put pen to paper (or, more likely, hands to keyboard).

In the university context, we often think of ethics in terms or cheating. In the workplace, there are additional ethical issues to consider. In your workplace, employees might have a social media policy to adhere to. Our textbook discusses social media policies and ethics on pages 33-36.

Instructions

For this post, you will find and post a link to a corporate policy statement on employee use of social media. You can use the search terms “social media policy examples,” or look for a social media policy at a company you’d like to look for–perhaps the company you applied to for the Resume and Job Application Letter assignment.

After you’ve found a corporate policy, analyze it and post the results of your analysis here. Answer these questions:

Is the policy statement clear, specific, and comprehensive?
Does the policy contain a persuasive explanation of why the policy is necessary?
Is the tone of the policy positive or negative?
How would you feel if you had to abide by this policy?
Please answer these questions in complete sentences. There is no set word count, but I would expect you to write at least four separate sentences (one for each question).

To see the original version of this exercise, look at page 40 in our textbook (in the 12th edition). If you’re using another edition, you may be able to find this exercise at the end of the chapter dedicated to ethics and legal considerations.
