Henry VII was the first Tudor king and his successor Henry VIII was married six times with some of his marriages being for political reasons like to Catherine of Aragon and Anne Cleves. Henry had announced the Act of Supremacy that recognized him as the Supreme head of the England Church. The king wanted to divorce Catherine as she gave birth to a daughter who could not continue with the Tudor legacy. Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard got beheaded for accusations of unfaithfulness.
