Final Extra Credit Reflections: My course is History
For those interested in extra credit, please share your overall thoughts and reflections for the course in roughly 250-500 words. Post your thoughts here in the Final Extra Credit forum (just write in text block, no attachments, please). Consider the things on the syllabus (learning outcomes, other details) and what we covered in class overall in your response. More specifically, what was something you learned this term that you did not know before, something that maybe surprised you? How will you incorporate some of the things we’ve covered in your every day life outside of the classroom? Have you changed your way of thinking about history (and its narrative construction), the media (censorship and propaganda), our political institutions? Why or why not? Explain.

Since the commencement of the course, there are several lessons that were studied in history that enhanced my knowledge about some of the major events that have taken place in the past. These lessons created certain thoughts and reflections on the importance of the course especially in the modern world. One of the major thoughts is based on the importance of studying history. History not only helps us to understand our past or the past of various generations, it also allows us to use such historical information to develop lessons that enable us to deal with our present and the future. Most of the issues that the modern society faces have a historical background.
