Describe the movie and what argument it presents toward a particular theme from the class.
For your film reflection, choose a movie or television series (not a documentary) that deals with one of the themes from the course in some way. This includes privacy, surveillance, social media, private and public space, celebrity, reality television, etc. Then describe the movie and what argument it presents toward a particular theme from the class.
Your essay should be between 300-800 words in MLA format (Times New Roman, 12 point font, double-spaced, etc.).
It is worth 100 points and is due 07/12.
I recommend following an outline similar to this:
Paragraph 1: Brief Description of the film (you do not need to tell the entire plot of the movie)
Paragraph 2: Discussion of how the film incorporates one or more themes from the class
Paragraph 3: Discussion of what argument the film makes about that theme
Paragraph 4: Discussion of whether or not the film should be included in future sections of this humanities course (and why)
Below is a list of potential movies. This does not include all possibilities, though, so if you think of another option, just run it by me first. (Note: I have not watched all of these movies and cannot vouch for their quality or content, so some of them may be disturbing and/or just bad films. Be sure to see what the movie is about before watching it.)
