Homelessness in Adults
Introduction
The number of homeless adults in the United States is alarming. Homelessness refers to a situation where individuals lack a regular, fixed, nighttime residence. The American Psychological Association describes homelessness as a situation where individuals do not have stable, appropriate and safe places to live. However, the definition of homelessness is broad in that it incorporates individuals living in temporary structures and crowded areas due to inadequate economic conditions.
