When we want to define management, what comes into our minds first is the idea of a manager who occupies a particular role and has authority over his employees. But when we think about knowledge workers, these manage themselves, and then management becomes a process that seeks to engage all. Therefore, when management is defined as a role, we only restrict it to refer only to managers. This kind of definition is not only limiting but does not include to what extent responsibility and work have changed (McCrimmon, 2010).
