DMAIC is an acronym for five interconnected phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and
Control. The use of this tool enables the project team to outline the important steps which
increases the project success rate.

Within your current healthcare organization choose a current problem (or in literature if you
are not currently working in healthcare) and complete the following table (use the template):
