JCIDS
The JCIDS, also referred to as the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System is the DOD’s process that is used to define acquisitions plans and evaluate the effectiveness of some of the programs that are developed. A fictional capability that could be developed is one where a new system has been developed by an independent contractor who is not affiliated to any of the security agencies in the country. In such a scenario, JCIDS calls for a lot of processes to be followed.
