History Site Visit/Project
for this paper we had to visit a mexican histrical place in Los Angeles and write about it. 2-3 pages.
On December 10, 2017 I visited LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes in Los Angeles.
WHOLE INFO CAN BE FOUND http://www.lapca.org
IT WAS ONLY 2 LEVELS AVAILABLE FOR THE DAY SO I COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING.
I WANT TO CONCENTRATE ON OLD MEXICAN FASHION AND ART BECAUSE THE MUSEUM WAS FULL OF NATIONAL CLOTHING AND HISTORY OF THEM. ALSO WE CAN INCLUDE SOME HISTORICAL INFORMATION ABOUT AMERICAN MEXICAN CONFLICT, DISCRIMINATIONS AND EQUALITY. I WILL ATTACH SOME PICTURES FROM THE MUSEUM TO HAVE AN IDEA. BUT EVERYTHING CAN BE FOUND ONLINE BECAUSE THE HISTORY IS ONE AND THE INFORMATION IS THE SAME. PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS
Instructions for Local History Site Visit/Project
Your research assignment is designed to permit you the opportunity to experience Chicano history through visitation of a local cultural site in southern California.
You may select any one of the following types of places to visit in order to complete your assignment:
- Museum (Example: Southwest Museum, Natural History Museum, Lacma, etc). Must be a Chicano- Mexican exhibit

In my historical site visit i went to El Pollo Loco and the 3 themes i selected are cultural reproduction, food, language.
Body:
Themes 1
El Pollo Loco is an example of Cultural reproduction. In Mexico people sold rotisserie chicken on the side of the road and now you can get it at restaurant. This is an example of cultural reproduction. (Elaborate some more)
Theme 2
People from Mexico feel a sense of home by eating food familiar to them like Pollo Loco. Mexican people can get rotisserie chicken in an American restaurant and not just on side of the road. (Elaborate some more)
Theme 3
El Pollo Loco is also a place that promotes bilingualism (Language). For example, items have Spanish names: salsa verder, salsa roja, pico de gallo, aguacate, etc. El Pollo Loco promotes bilingualism in a society centered on being monolingual. (Elaborate some more)
