The artificially dirty egg by the Dutch egg board is a good example of a hoax. It all began after the Dutch egg industry noted a fall in the sales of eggs during the year 1973. After a thorough investigation of the situation, it was known that this issue was brought about by the grocery-store customers. They did not like the antiseptic look of the factory-cleaned eggs placed on the shelves. This look of sparkling clean eggs to the shoppers denoted the unhealthy lifestyle of today’s life.
