Work-Related Injuries
The assertion by Guthrie et al. (2004) on the average age of nurses about a decade from the time of the study being 50 years was based on a mathematical projection based on factors such as retirement and the replacement rates of the employees in the profession. Consequently, the premise is valid because it was based on an extrapolation of trends preceding the research, based on which the scholars used studies that had conducted a mathematical analysis as the basis of their argument. Therefore, the premise was good enough for the study as it signified the ageing status of the staff in nursing practice.
