Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been making headlines within the last five years on domains such as finance, healthcare, and facial recognition. In marketing, however, AI does not seem to get much coverage despite its application in business intelligence and marketing analytics (Conick, 2017). The technology is now integrated into digital products and used more frequently than ever given that it is perceived to be the future of computing. In particular, AI is transforming almost every aspect of marketing including the use of chatbots to meet consumer needs, formulation of strategic emails to reignite waning consumer interest and creation of specialized ads targeting a defined audience (Miller, 2018). Given this, markets have to incorporate the use of AI, especially if they want to keep up with the vibrant and competitive digital landscape.
