You will need to read/skim both of John P. Newport’s chapters on the New Age Movement for this map.
While the “New Age” is a catch-all umbrella term for a wide variety of shifts outside and inside organized religions, there is a set of distinct cosmological patterns about the condition of the world, the nature of human beings, and ideas about spiritual development.
Map those cosmological features that explain:
how the individual self is understood within the world
the spiritual goal or goals of the “New Age” self

2-3 methods for meeting these spiritual goals.
