Discussion 1: Reaction to Brittany’s Story
While the twenty-nine-year Brittany Maynard made national news headlines for coining the term “death with dignity” I believe she made the best decision. Maynard was diagnosed with an aggressive terminal brain cancer that continued to grow after undergoing treatment and surgery. Consequently she decided to end her life through euthanasia to avoid an agonizing death as she knew she only had a few months to live.
