Introduction
Every society had different beliefs about religion. The Greek society is well known because it derived its religious beliefs from the numerous myths that existed. Homer and Hesiod are described as the first people to explain the origin and nature of the existence of humans. The religious beliefs of the ancient Greek society revolved around a monotheistic god who ruled the world but with the help of other smaller gods. The society presented the gods as human in nature though they were immortal. Religions also had various beliefs concerning evil where it was punishable by death or suffering. However, there arose the concept of philosophy which intended to challenge the religious beliefs of creation.
