According to the WHO, osteoporosis is a skeletal condition associated with low bone density and a further deterioration of the bone tissues. Consequently, the bone becomes fragile hence highly exposed to injuries. Even though this disease can affect all members of the population, it mostly affects women especially those in old age. This is attributed to hormonal changes and reduced physical activity. Besides, the bone fracture in both women and men is associated with reduced bone mass especially in old age. Therefore, one of the ways one can prevent or avoid the potential effects of osteoporosis is through undertaking physical exercises. There are different types of training exercises that can help restore bone mass. One of such is strength training which boosts bone mass be it for children or older members of the population.
