When companies miss out on opportunities for growth through innovation, detrimental consequences are bound to be observed. In a world where most business aspects are driven by innovation, firms must at all times ensure that they take opportunities for growth through innovation. This is mainly because such failure can lead to failure of the business. In the past, there have been many companies that have failed to take these opportunities and had their operations reduce to the verge of closing down. These businesses failed due to inability to take these opportunities whereas other firms in the industry or competitors took them. Some of the firms intentionally ignore these opportunities and prefer the status quo to remain.
