Write a 2- to 3-minute elevator speech in which you describe how you see yourself as creatively intelligent, innovative, and/or entrepreneurial.
Describe at least one example of how you promoted innovation in your personal or professional life.
Present your elevator speech to two different people. One can be a personal acquaintance, the other must be a professional connection.
Write a 525- to 700-word reflection and answer the following questions:
- Did you feel empowered to be more creative and innovative as a result of describing your skills out loud?
- Did your audience ask any questions or share any insight about creativity and innovation?

Have you ever sat down alone in the backyard of your house and just wondered how creative and innovative you have become in just a short span of time? Well, that just happened to me a few days ago and interestingly enough the thought of it is stronger now than it was then. Most people go through the different phases of life without ever having time to sit down and reflect on the details of their life’s journey. Working for a billion-dollar company has never been a part of my DNA and this, in some of my friends’ and family members’ views makes me weird, hard to cope with. The need to defy the odds and do what the 99% are not doing has not started now; I realized that it has been a part of me since I was young (Burns, 2016).
