A leader is someone who encourages people to achieve their goals. A leader sets directions for others to follow. He or she is always committed towards changing the world. Some of the workplaces social workers work include government agencies, schools, hospitals, private businesses, and courts. Leaders in social work practice dedicate their lives to help people in need by improving their social conditions. Furthermore, the most important traits a leader in social work field must possess include respect for diversity, engaging in decision making, consensus building, ability to assist others grow and succeed, deep understanding of human behavior, and ability to view situations from different perspectives. I am the type of leader who is responsible, accountable, humane, kind, team player, and trustworthy.
