Consider how statistics are calculated and utilized in the health care setting.
- Explain how you might interact with health statistics in an administrative role. This may be your current role in health care, or a future “dream job” in the health care field.
- You may reflect on the following to form your discussion: how are statistics calculated? Who runs reports and makes these calculations, and what is your level of interaction with that person? What technology tools are utilized for statistical data collection and analysis? Do you use these tools, or do you depend on others to prepare the data for you?
