Write about an observation that you found interesting on homeland security (it doesn’t have to be from this week).  Perhaps you found the growth of the DHS budget interesting.  Perhaps you find separating security and investigation logical or inefficient.  Maybe you are shocked to learn that textbooks (or my lecture notes) contain errors.  Whatever it is, we want to hear about it.  Make us as interested as you were.

BTW – Writing, “I found nothing interesting” is not an option.
