Compare and contrast the German and Irish immigrants of the 1830s and 1840s. Be sure to include the social, religious and economic aspects.

Start with an introductory paragraph with a thesis statement. You may want to include why they came to America in your intro. For each supporting paragraph use block style, which means writing about one ethnic group in a paragraph. So write about the Germans in one paragraph and the Irish in another. These supporting paragraphs will be lengthy. End with a concluding paragraph in which you relate how these immigrants’ situations are similar to immigrants of today.

Just a reminder that the length requirement for the paper is 3-5 pages double spaced, font size 12, MLA format.
