Issues of gender equality in the workplace are important. The IS and ICT professions have been widely criticized for imbalances and power differentials between men and women. This issue is more pronounced for the IT industry than others because women do not enter the IT field in great numbers, and attrition among women is greater than among men. This Discussion will help you highlight some of the issues affecting women in the IT workplace.
