Discussion Question Possibility #1

We are approaching the end of our journey together in this course. For the final discussion question, please consider Act 1/Phase I of the hero’s journey in your most recently completed primary text, Sunjata. This, of course, is the Departure Phase; as you know, in Vogler’s model, it contains five clearly definable stages. These are: (1.) Ordinary World, (2.) Call to Adventure, (3.)Refusal of the Call, (4.) Meeting with the Mentor, and (5.) Crossing the First Threshold. Choose ONE of these stages to focus on for the discussion as it applies to Sunjata. Be concise but be thorough—quality over quantity is always preferred.
