Journeys in Narrative Discussion
Choose two characters from The Epic of Gilgamesh. Hypothetical: If the characters you chose were sent to Dante Alighieri’s Inferno, what level would Minos send them to? You need to be able to identify each character’s PREDOMINANT sin, i.e., their archetypal sin, e.g. Pinocchio was a fibber, Winnie the Pooh was a glutton, Tinker-bell was a pagan fairy, the Big, Bad Wolf was violent, etc. Let’s not get started on the Seven Dwarves! You’ll have to prove your claims. Make a strong case for each character using quoted passages (with proper MLA citations) from both The Epic of Gilgamesh and “Inferno” as support in your answer.

In the book called The epic of Gilgamesh, there are around eighteen main characters. It should be noted that Gilgamesh is the protagonist of the story and also the king of Uruk. I am going to concentrate more on Shamhat and Enkidu. Shamhat is a temple prostitute. She is sent by Gilgamesh to enlighten Enkidu who has spent his whole life living with animals.
