1. Child maltreatment or child abuse is a sexual, physical or psychological maltreatment of a child or children by a guardian. It may include any deeds or disappointment by other caregiver or a parent to act resulting to actually or potentially harming the child. These abuses may occur in the child’s home, schools, or in the communities, or in the organizations that the children interact with. Abuse is one of the major commonly witnessed traumas among children.
