Case Study Analysis
The impact of technology on cost, quality, and access to health services in Saudi Arabia
The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is committed to providing high quality healthcare services to the citizens. Being a welfare state, Article 31 of the nation’s constitution requires the administration to provide free medical services to the citizens (Albejaidi, 2010). For this reason, the Saudi public healthcare system uses the Beveridge model as the medical services are financed by the government. The policy is committed to ensuring that all Saudi nationals have access to medical services. Besides the government, the private sector also plays a vital role in the provision of medical services. The outlook is supported by the presence of several private hospitals.
