I want you to write a two-page essay that tells me what you really want to do in your life. Describe where you are RIGHT NOW, and follow this with what you want to accomplish. Be as specific as you dare. Try to avoid generalizations, such as “I really want to be a good person”, or ” I want to make an impression on the world”. Both are wonderful aspirations. But…try to establish a “long-term” vision of what and who you wish to be.
Tell me how you wish to be remembered as your conclusion. For example, when your grandchildren and great-grandchildren talk about you, do you want them to say, “Grandma was a mean old person”, or, “Nana was the most important person in my life”. Most likely it will be somewhere in between.
