1. A brief summary as to what the reading is about, topic as well as the main argument of the work you read. Introduce the subject of the reading and its relationship to your research project., as well as the thesis of the author or of each author. Make sure to discuss each article in this section. Do not treat each article separately.

2. Give some information about the author or authors researched on the Internet. Write a paragraph stating where the author(s) teaches; what his/her specialty is, what makes this author or these authors experts that should be used for your paper. If a dead author, give a brief biography. Make sure to discuss all authors in this section.

3. Define unfamiliar vocabulary and identify the key concepts of the piece (a separate paragraph for each word and definition).

6. Explicitly explain how this material helps the student to answer the research question posed, and how, therefore, it contributes to the student’s research (One or two paragraphs.)

8. Identify new questions so as to delve even more deeply into the research. (Write one or two paragraphs).
