Desire, what characters want and how those wants are thwarted or achieved, is the core of most all satisfying fiction.

DISCUSSION POST 7: THEIR EYES WERE WATCHING GOD

            Just as the title states, their eyes were watching God, it is a book about the experimenting and freedom. The two aspects can manifest through desire as a theme. The book title gives an impression of a spiritual encounter that shows the intensity and involvement of the three main characters.
