Making the Strategic Decision

In working with our clients, it is important to be cognizant of the fact that many of our clients may have what looks like the same situations, but with varying circumstances that can greatly impact how we help the client. Chapter 6 in our text provides Exercise II: Making the Strategic Decision where there is one basic situation with eight different circumstances surrounding the situation. In your discussion, look at the eight different circumstances and tell us how you would help the client in each one. For the eight different circumstances, provide why you have chosen to help the client in the way that you describe.

1. In this case, it was not anyone’s fault that Hannah’s accident occurred and therefore, the best advice to Hannah is to seek professional medical attention, and because her corporation is offering to retrain her, she can still take up her job offer with her corporation.
2. In this case, personal help to Hannah is that she should seek a lawyers help and move to court and seek compensation from her corporation as first, she has lost her sight, lives alone and with a few friend she has no other means to her livelihood.
