Introduction-Yesterday I had my interview with my friend, Aziz that had an internship at KPMG-He graduated from USD this May and he’s currently attending graduate school also atUSD-I focused more on asking him questions about his internship because it seemed like hehad a lot to say about his experienceWriting skills-I asked him a few questions regarding if his internship required writing and if it did whatforms if writing did he use-He mentioned that he worked in the Management Consulting department. Thisdepartment requires research, writing and communication at all times. According to him,collaboration is essential in Management Consulting and this is because of the nature ofthe work that they do. Their work is based on identifying problems clients are facing,their clients are basically firms. Each colleague is assigned to do research and then theycome together to share what they found.-As for writing, Aziz had to write weekly reflections on the tasks he had set for the week.His reflection consists of an introduction that points out the tasks that he had to do, thenhe would talk about what his tasks were about and what he did for those tasks. Next, hewould compare each job and state what was similar and different. Lastly, he would endwith talking about what lessons he’s learned.Conclusion-I would like to focus on the weekly reflections that he had to write for my paper becausein a sense I think that it seems similar to what we’ve done in class. We’ve done researchand compared and differentiated CARS moves so it’s fascinating to see that he’s donethat in his internship.
