This assignment allows you to step into a fictional role and navigate a public health threat. Review the following scenario to understand your role for this assignment:
You are the Chief Wellness Officer for Herzing University. Your job duties include facilitating health and wellness initiatives on-campus and online, and keeping students, faculty, and staff informed of public health concerns and best practices. It is May, 2020 and COVID-19 has gained intensity across the US, including areas where Herzing has campuses. Many online students are also impacted. As Chief Wellness Officer, you must host a virtual “town hall” for Herzing’s students, faculty, and staff.
For your assignment, complete the following:
- In bullet point format: Identify five speakers for the virtual town hall meeting.
- You only need to include each person’s job title.
- Consider including both public health experts, and university personnel.
- In approximately 500 words, outline talking points you expect the speaker panel to address. This information will be given to the speakers as a guideline.
- In a separate paragraph, write content for an email to be sent to all Herzing students, faculty, and staff, notifying them of the upcoming town hall, and what to expect from it.
